Mental Health Check-In

#anxiety mentalhealthcheck Oct 10, 2024

It’s time for a mental health check in.

If you’ve been glued to the weather, news and FaceBook reports, you are not alone. There has been a lot of danger, loss, tragedy and grief lately. Or perhaps you’ve barely noticed because you have so much stress already in your own world.

OR maybe, just maybe you are in a wonderful place with your mental well being. You’re seeing the good in the world and the blessings in your life easily.

It’s always great to have awareness of your own mental state. Just take a moment to do a quick check in. When I work in private sessions, we always do a check in (and often multiple times).

It’s really simple. Think of anxiety on a scale of 1-10. 10 is a level of anxiety in which you are completely overwhelmed and shutting down. 1 is feeling completely at ease and peace.

Most of us live somewhere in between. Over time, we have a baseline level which becomes very familiar to us. So when we feel stressed, we have shifted out of our familiar zone.

On an interesting side note: When we heal, our baseline will usually become lower and part of the work we have to do is get comfortable and familiar with this new level.

So, right now, do a quick check in. Where are you on that scale of 1-10? How are you?

If you are feeling more stressed and anxious, do you know how to bring yourself back down?

If you are feeling more at peace, do you know how to stay there?

If you are feeling a bit more stressed, I’ve linked a guided tapping session from my program, Anxiety Detox. I’ve found it to be one of the quickest ways that you can reduce anxiety and get back to peace.

Hit reply and tell me how you’re doing!

You deserve the joy and peace you desire! I’m cheering you on!

All my love,
Stacey
